SOLIDARITY MASS AND RENEWAL OF PLEDGE 2023

Vigan City Celebrates World Heritage Cities Solidarity Day with Solidarity Mass and Renewal of Heritage Commitment.
Vigan City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999, celebrates the UNESCO World Heritage Cities Solidarity Day on September 8, 2023, with a Eucharistic Mass coinciding with the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the Renewal of Commitment to Heritage Conservation held at the Vigan Convention Center.
In attendance were the City officials headed by City Mayor Jose “Bonito” Singson Jr., Vice Mayor Randy Singson, and the City Council members, together with the City employees, barangay officials and other government agencies. The Holy Mass was officiated by Msgr. Gary Formoso.
Earlier this week, Mayor Singson shared during a recent phone interview that this year’s solidarity celebration will be more modest than the past celebrations. He added that the City Government chose to allocate funds to aid Bigueños affected by floods and other natural calamities that recently hit the City.
