The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kuala Lumpur represented by Magdalena Skowyra – Jelonek, wife of Polish Ambassador Adam Jelonek, turn – over medical equipment to Mayor Eva Marie S. Medina for the Vigan City Rurak Health Unit on June 12, 2014. The equipment was donated as a part of the Development Aid of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.Last year, the City Government of Vigan represented by Mayor Eva Marie S. Medina and Mayor of Gniezno Jacek Kowalski, exchange Letter of Intent for the sisterhood agreement for the cities of Gniezno and Vigan last September 17, 2013.
The objective of the agreement is for Gniezno and Vigan to link and go beyond international boundaries through the exchange of their experiences and best practices.
The sisterhood agreement will strengthen partnership relations between the two cities and for the common interests of the residents of Gniezno and Vigan.
It will also foster exchange in the fields of governance, heritage conservation, tourism, health, education, economic, social, sports and culture.
