City Government of Vigan’s Past and New Administration Hold Turnover Ceremony

The Vigan City Local Government Operation Office (CLGOO) steered the turnover ceremony between the City Government of Vigan’s past and new administration held last June 28, 2022 at Vigan City Hall Lobby.

Outgoing Vice Mayor Lourdes Baquiran formally handed the City’s symbolic key of stewardship and responsibilities to the newly elected officials led by City Mayor Jose “Bonito” Singson and Vice Mayor Randy Singson.

Also present in the event were newly elected SPM John Patrick Singson, SPM Larry Raboy, SPM Atty. Glendale Benzon, SPM Ada Joana Fe Artajos, SPM Liborio Arca, SPM Karen Baquiran and SPM Jay Andia together with the department heads and different attached agencies who have witnessed the event.

“It is very important to conduct the transition of power from our incumbent and newly elected officials for us to ensure the continuity of programs and projects for our constituents,” CLGOO Engr. Andres Vendiola said.

In his speech, incoming City Mayor Jose “Bonito” Singson assures that he will continue the city’s progress through implementing new programs and projects for the benefit of the Bigueños.

“As I always say that my obligation to the past is to ensure a better future. That is my foundation in all the things that I do in life and I’m encouraging everyone towork together as one and serve the people with quality programs,” Mayor-Elect Singson added.

Afterwards, Mayor-Elect Singson also paid visit to the City’s various offices after the ceremony where he immediately made dialogues with the department heads and employees.
