In line with the constant support of the City Government of Vigan to the Bigueño Farmers, Mayor Juan Carlo Medina together SPM Janina Medina-Fariñas, SPM Kisses Agdamag-Lim, SPM Liborio Arca and City Agriculture Officer Lito Forneas handed farm equipment to the City’s various Farmer’s Associations at Vigan Conservation Complex last February 8, 2022.
78 farmers from Beddeng Daya, Pantay Daya and Ayusan Norte received one unit each of Two in One Knapsack Sprayer; 1,064 farmers of Cabaroan Daya, Cabaroan Laud, Purok a Dackel acquired Drying Net (1.2 m X 27 m); 97 pieces of 12 ft. X 24 ft. Rubberized Tolda for Purok a Bassit, San Jose, San Julian Sur, Bongtolan and Salindeg farmers; and 100 unit of Corn Planter was given to various barangays.
Meanwhile, 14 Farmer’s Association of the city received heavy duty tractors and water pumps with Rubberized Intake and complete accessories.
Msgr. Gary Formoso of Nueva Segovia initiated the blessing of the said farm inputs.
Also present in the event to congratulate the Bigueño Farmers were Former Mayor Eva Marie Singson-Medina and her team Grupo nga Mangituloy ti Napudno a Serbisyo.
Furthermore, Mayor Juan Carlo Medina gratified the Bigueño Farmers for their constant support to the City Government of Vigan in its various activities and programs for the farmers.
