The City Government of Vigan through the leadership of Mayor Jose “Bonito” Singson, Jr. together with the Department of Health (DOH) conducted the Groundbreaking Ceremonies of the Vigan City Primary Care Facility – Infirmary at Brgy IV, Vigan City last July 8,2023.
Mayor Singson, together with Governor Jerry Singson, welcomed DOH Secretary Teodoro “Ted” Herbosa who graced the ceremony and served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. Also present in the event are DOH RO1 Regional Director Dr. Paula Paz Sydiongco and Asst. Regional Director Dr. Antonio Albornoz, Head of Provincial Office of Engr. John Foz, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Trina Talaga, City Officials, City Department Heads, Division Chiefs and the Barangay captains. Meanwhile, Fr. Gary Formoso officiated the ceremonial blessing of the ground.
Furthermore, the DOH turned over 35 Million Pesos to the City Government to ensure the continuous construction of the facility, while health services equipment were handed to Barangay II, Capangpangan, Camangaan and San Pedro to further their response in their respective barangays.
It also during the activity that Mayor Singson proudly presented the Barangay Community Service vehicle that will be given to all barangay’s health centers.
