The City Government of Vigan, led by City Mayor Randy Singson, awarded a centenarian incentive to Mrs. Marcelina Dela Cruz, 101 years old, in a simple ceremony held on July 15, 2025, at Barangay Tamag, Vigan City.

City Vice Mayor Glendale Benzon, along with SPM Joy Benette Orio, SPM Karen Baquiran, and OIC-City Social Welfare and Development Officer Reyman Tuliao, personally handed over P10,000 check and a certificate of recognition to Mrs. Dela Cruz in honor of her remarkable milestone.

The incentive is granted under City Ordinance No. 37, Series of 2022, which institutionalizes the city’s support for centenarians. The ordinance, authored by then-Vice Mayor and now Mayor Randy Singson and approved by the 8th City Council, highlights Vigan’s enduring commitment to valuing and celebrating its elderly citizens.
