To further strengthen the disaster preparedness and response capabilities of every barangay and frontline office, the City Government of Vigan, led by City Mayor Randy Singson, Vice Mayor Glendale Benzon, and members of the 9th City Council, CDRRM  Officer Milagros Alquiza, City Administrator Rechille Ann Mariano personally distributed b 4-in-1 Gasoline Hedge Trimmer Multi Tools to all 39 barangays of the city in a ceremonial turnover held at Vigan City Hall.

This initiative aims to enhance each barangay’s capacity to respond quickly and efficiently during emergencies, especially for clearing fallen trees and debris caused by typhoons and other disasters. The equipment will serve as a valuable tool for local disaster response and recovery operations.

Barangay captains expressed their gratitude to Mayor Randy Singson and the City Government for this timely and much-needed assistance in strengthening grassroots preparedness.

In addition, Mayor Randy Singson, Vice Mayor Benzon, SPM Jay Andia, and SPM Karen Baquiran also distributed rain boots to personnel from the General Services Office (GSO), City Engineering Office (CEO), and City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO). These protective gears will support frontline workers in performing their duties during inclement weather and emergency operations.
