Today, July 21, 2025, the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur held the Ilocos Sur Siglat Festival 2025, featuring a series of activities at the Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center in Vigan City.

One of the major highlights was the Himig Siglat, the LGU Choir Competition, which showcased the vocal artistry of seven (7) participating local government units.

The Vigan City Chorale clinched 2nd Place and was also awarded Best in Conductor, receiving P50,000 and an additional P3,000 cash prize for the special award. LGU-Candon was declared 1st Place, while LGU-Santa secured 3rd Place.

This marks the second consecutive year that the Vigan City Chorale has earned the 2nd Place recognition, an impressive testament to their dedication and musical excellence.

Following the competition, the Vigan City Chorale paid a courtesy visit to City Mayor Randy Singson and Vice Mayor Glendale Benzon at the Vigan City Hall, where they were personally congratulated for bringing pride and honor to the city.
