In view of the continuous promotion of youth development through sports excellence, the City Government of Vigan, through the Vigan City Local School Board, further supports the Bigueno athletes for the Region I Athletic Association Meet 2025 through financial support, uniforms, and additional training equipment.
This year, the Cityโs delegations are over six hundred twenty-seven, where each athlete received P14,300.00 each and P9,800.00 each for coaches. The said assistance aims to aid the needs of athletes, coaches, and other sports officials before and during the R1AA Meet on March 11 to 15, 2025, at Bacnotan, La Union.
During the opening ceremony, the Department of EducationโVigan City Division, led by SDS Vilma Eda, together with the city officials through SPM Ada Joana Fe Artajos, SPM Karen Baquiran, SPM Enrico Shawn Patrick Singson, and SPM Carl Louie Alquetra, personally joined the parade to show support to the athletes.
