Today, July 6, 2025, City Mayor Randy Singson personally visited a household in Barangay Pantay Fatima whose kitchen was severely damaged after a tree fell due to the continuous rains brought by the southwest monsoon or Habagat.

Mayor Randy Singson, together with Officer-in-Charge of the City Social Welfare and Development Office, Mr. Reyman Tuliao, handed over relief goods to the affected family. City Mayor Singson, requested the City Engineering Office to assess the damage and provide an estimate for the necessary repair works.
To ensure the safety of residents, personnel from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), the City General Services Officer Kenneth Victa and personnels (GSO), and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) promptly responded and cut down trees in the area that posed potential danger.
In addition, today, Mayor Singson and OIC-CSWD Officer Tuliao also visited a household in Barangay Tamag, where a family, which includes a senior citizen, resides near the river. The family was provided with a relief pack and checked for immediate needs to ensure their safety.
The City Government of Vigan remains committed to extending timely assistance and support to residents affected by natural calamities.
