A night full of gratitude and fostering of partnership was held on January 21, 2025, at Vigan Convention Center as the City Government of Vigan held its annual Partners’ Appreciation Night, as one of the highlights of the Vigan City Fiesta and Longganisa Festival 2025.
Governor Jeremias “Jerry” Singson, City Mayor Jose “Bonito” Singson Jr., Vice Mayor Randy Singson, along with members of the 8th City Council, officers, and representatives from various partnered national agencies, non-government organizations, establishments, and individuals, attended the event.
In his speech, City Mayor Bonito expressed his gratitude for the continuous support and collaboration that the various stakeholders poured into the City of Vigan, where these really provide additional resources, opportunities, and services that help the lives of Bigueños.
Moreover, Governor Jerry also highlighted the importance of unity, collaboration, and partnership between and among the government and private institutions to further enhance the services of the government for its people.
DILG Provincial Director Randy Dela Rosa also delivered an inspirational message on behalf of the national agencies, where he assured that the DILG and its fellow NGAs will continue to give their best in assisting and helping the City Government of Vigan to become a more effective and efficient LGU for its people.
Furthermore, the Top 10 Most Outstanding Non-Government Organizations for 2024 were honored for their significant impact on Vigan’s development, including the Rotary Club of Vigan, Ilocos Sur Medical Society, UAP–Ilocos Ciudad Fernandina Chapter, Maris Ti Ayat Incorporated, UAP–Ylocos Vigan Chapter, Junior Chamber International–Vigan City, Federated Rural Improvement Club, Juanas United Ilocana Women Association, Young Women’s Christian Association, and the Ilocos Sur Hospitality and Related Establishment Professionals Association.
Rotary Club of Vigan President Jun Tagorda delivered an acceptance speech on behalf of the NGOs, expressing gratitude for the recognition and reaffirming their commitment to continued collaboration with the City Government.
This event underscored the strong partnership between the City government and its stakeholders in advancing the sustainable growth and development of Vigan City.
