As part of the City Government of Viganโ€™s observance of the 2025 National Disaster Resilience Month, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) opened the Exhibit- the Vigan DRRM Equipage Showcase on July 1, 2025, at Vigan Convention Center.

The opening ceremony was led by City Mayor Randy Singson, joined by City Vice Mayor Glendale Benzon, members of the 9th City Council, City Department Heads, Division Chiefs, Barangay Captains, NGOโ€™s, Vigan Emergency Response Team (VERT), Vigan Youth Emergency Response Team (VYERT), Mediaโ€™s and different national government agencies.

CDRRM Officer Milagros Alquiza formally opened the exhibit through a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside Mayor Singson, Vice Mayor Benzon, and the 9th City Councils.

The exhibit features the Cityโ€™s updated and specialized disaster preparedness and response equipment, highlighting the City Governmentโ€™s continuous efforts to enhance community resilience and ensure public safety in times of emergencies.

The event is in line with this yearโ€™s theme:

โ€œLokal na Tagatugon, Mga Bayaning Simbolo ng Katatagan at Dedikasyon sa Pampublikong Kaligtasan,โ€

which honors local responders as heroes in building a safer and more resilient community.

The exhibit will remain open for public viewing on July 1-4, 2025 at Function B, Vigan Convention Center.
