Mayor Randy Singson joins 2025 Induction Ceremony of JCI Vigan
The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Vigan held its Induction and Turnover Ceremonies on July 5, 2025, at the Provincial Farmers Livelihood and Development Center in Vigan City.
The event was graced by City Mayor Randy Singson, Governor Jeremias “Jerry” Singson, Vice Governor Ryan Luis Singson, LO President Janina Carine Medina-Fariñas, Immediate Past President Catherine Dela Peña, Former City Mayors Eva Marie Medina and Ferdinand Medina, Laoag City Vice Mayor Carlos Fariñas, JCI National President Thirdie Chua, JCI Area, Regional, and Local Organization Officers, members of JCI Vigan, and JCI Vigan Buridek.

The program commenced with the signing of the Twinning Agreements between JCI Vigan and various JCI Local Organizations, affirming strong bonds and shared commitments to leadership, collaboration, and community service.
This was followed by the processional and Induction and Turnover Ceremonies, led by the newly inducted Local Organization President Janina Carine Medina-Fariñas, alongside outgoing president Catherine Dela Peña, Governor Jerry Singson, Vice Governor Singson, City Mayor Randy Singson, and JCI national and regional board members. Vice Governor Ryan Luis Singson welcomed guests to the Province of Ilocos Sur and emphasized the importance of youth leadership in sustaining progress and good governance.
City Mayor Randy Singson delivered a welcome message, commending JCI Vigan for its outstanding leadership and service to the community. He acknowledged the efforts of outgoing officers, encouraged the new set of leaders, and expressed the city government’s continued support for JCI Vigan’s programs that promote youth empowerment, cultural heritage, and civic involvement.
Immediate Past President Catherine Dela Peña delivered her Valedictory Address, sharing her journey, accomplishments, and gratitude to those who supported her term. She highlighted the meaningful impact of their initiatives and expressed hope for the chapter’s continued success.
Following this was the Turnover of the Gavel and Medallion, symbolizing the official transfer of leadership, after which LO President Janina Carine Medina-Fariñas delivered her Inaugural Address, outlining her vision for JCI Vigan and her commitment to building on the legacy of her predecessors.
The new Board of Directors of JCI Vigan was introduced and took their oath of office, administered by JCI Area 1 Vice President Drew Butulan. This was followed by the oath-taking of the new and incoming Baby Jaycees, marking the start of their leadership journey within the organization.
As Keynote Speaker, Governor Jerry Singson shared his inspiring personal journey with JCI, recalling how his experience in the organization helped shape his leadership path. He encouraged the young leaders to serve with humility, purpose, and dedication to their communities.
Lastly, JCI National President Thirdie Chua, as Guest of Honor, delivered an empowering message, recognizing JCI Vigan’s contributions and encouraging all members to continue serving with excellence, collaboration, and impact.
