Bringing Health closer to the Bigueños: Anemia and Kidney Disease Screening held in Barangay Rugsuanan.

On July 14, 2025, the City Government of Vigan, through the City Health Office, brought essential healthcare services closer to the Bigueños with an Anemia and Kidney Disease Screening at Barangay Rugsuanan.

Joining the screening were City Mayor Randy Singson, members of the 9th City Council, City Health Officer Dr. Loida Ranches, Dr. Angeli Romerosa-Fernando, OIC-CSWD Officer Reyman Tuliao, Ilocos Sur Medical Society (ISMS) led by President Dr. Glenda Rabino and Dr. Kristen Benedict Figuerres. Also present were Barangay Captain Mario Apelin and the Barangay health workers, DCSPG-Rugsuanan led by President Nida Arellano and the City Health Office.

Through this community-based screening, the City Government of Vigan brings health services closer to the people, making sure that every Bigueños has access to early detection, proper information, and timely medical guidance.
