The University of Northern Philippines (UNP), through the Office of the Vice President for Research and Extension and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, in partnership with the City Government of Vigan and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), conducted the Training of Trainers for the Youth Health Learning Package (YHLP) for Core Youth and the Signing of the Declaration of Commitment on August 12โ€“14, 2025, at the UNP TechCom Function Hall.

City Mayor Randy Singson graced the event along with UNP President Dr. Erwin Cadorna, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Rolando Navarro, UNODC Country Manager Daniele Marchesi, City Legal Officer Atty. Gerard Posadas and UNP officials.

A signing of the Declaration of Cooperation was also held, sealing the collaboration between UNP, the City Government of Vigan, and UNODC in advancing youth development and health advocacy.

The sessions were attended by students and supported by four representatives from the City Government of Vigan, facilitated by the YHLP core team.

The three-day training featured various modules, including Gender Self-Discovery, Sensitivity and Equality, Sexual and Reproductive Health, STI and HIV Awareness, Healthy Relationships and Communication, Mental Health and Coping, and Consent and Boundaries
