The Philippine Association of Social Workers, Inc. (PASWI) successfully held the International Conference cum 77th National Convention on October 21โ€“24, 2025 at the Chavit Coliseum, Vigan City.

City Mayor Randy Singson delivered a heartfelt welcome message to all participants, expressing gratitude for choosing Vigan as the host city. In his speech, he commended the invaluable work of social workers in reaching, empowering, and uplifting communities, especially those in need.

The event gathered over 2,000 social workers from across the Philippines and around the world, serving as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and learning among practitioners, academics, and advocates of social development.

With the theme โ€œStrengthening Intergenerational Solidarity for Ensuring the Well-Being of Families Across Diverse Cultures,โ€ the convention emphasized the importance of unity and shared responsibility in promoting family welfare and inclusive community growth.

Moreover, City Vice Mayor Atty. Glendale Benzon, together with SPM Larry Raboy, SPM Nestor Pajaro, and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), hosted a courtesy dinner for 50 national and international delegates at Cafรฉ Leona, showcasing Bigueรฑo hospitality.
