The Department of Social Welfare and Development-Field Office 1 together with the City Government of Vigan, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office held the payout for the 4th Quarter of Calendar Year 2025 Social Pension Program for the registered indigent senior citizens on December 17-18, 2025 at the Vigan Collado Hotel, Barangay Pantay Fatima, Vigan City.
SPM Joy Benette Orio and SPM Karen Baquiran and City Social Welfare and Development Officer Maribelle Artienda, OSCA Head Ma. Celerina Agcamaran graced the event.
A total of 1,283 Bigueรฑo senior citizens from various barangays in the city received cash assistance amounting to three thousand pesos (P3,000.00) each, which serves as additional assistance to their medications and other daily needs.
This quarterly payout is in line with the national governmentโs social pension program, which underscores the empowerment of the elderly as well as the importance of ensuring the well-being of elderly citizens across the country.
