The City Government of Vigan, through the City Agriculture Office, conducted a meeting with the Bigueno tobacco farmers on July 30, 2025, at City Agriculture Warehouse, Nagsangalan, Vigan City.

City Mayor Randy Singson together with SPM Edmund Ayco, Chairperson of the Committee on Agriculture, City Agriculturist Lito Forneas led the meeting.

The event enabled the tobacco farmers raised their concerns and presented their priority needs, including farming materials, equipment, incentives, and support programs.

Mayor Randy reaffirmed the city’s commitment to the agricultural sector, assuring the farmers of continued support and addressing their concerns and city’s proactive approach to strengthening local agriculture, ensuring that Bigueño farmers remain empowered, productive, and well-supported in their livelihood.
