VSTI STRIVES TO OFFER MORE LIVELIHOOD TRAININGS IN THE NEW NORMAL

Over Twenty Three (23) Bigueños took the NC II Training on Bread and Pastry Production from January 25 until February 09, 2021 while Twenty Four (24) Bigueños underwent the free 10-day Training on Food Processing started last February 15, 2021 through the City Government of Vigan’s Vigan
Skills Training Institute at Vigan Conservation Complex.

TESDA accredited trainers Mr. Emarson Cortez, Ms. Mary Rose Beltran and their Chief Trainer Haidee G. Pestilos facilitated the said event in which they introduced the making of Embotido, Puto Kutchinta, Siomai, Atsarang
Papaya, Pork Tocino, Rellenong Bangus, Corned Beef and Vigan Longganisa for Food Processing Trainees while various cakes, breads and pastries were demonstrated by the NC II BPP trainees.

“I am very thankful to the City Government of Vigan for allowing us to have
free trainings on NC II Training on Bread and Pastry Productio. This will further enhace our skills in cooking and putting up our dream business.” NC II BPP Trainee Renogerald Nolasco said.

Meanwhile, VSTI Chief Manpower Officer Ronilda Aninag said that the trainers and the students were regularly reminded to follow the
basic health protocols particularly the wearing of facemask.

The participants were also taught on the proper plating, packaging and branding of their products as well as on how it will be sold on the market including in the online selling which is on trend now adays.
