To further strengthen the partnership of the City Government of Vigan and the City and County of Honolulu, on February 26, 2024, Vigan City Mayor Jose “Bonito” Singson and Vice Mayor Randy Singson, together with Hon. Tommy Waters, Chairperson of Honolulu Council, and Hon. Rick Blangiardi, the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu, held the ceremonial signing of the declaration on the renewal of sister city relations between the City and County of Honolulu and the City of Vigan at the Vigan City Museum, Vigan Conservation Complex.
Witnessing the event were the City Council members of Vigan and Honolulu, together with the department heads of the LGU, Vigan.
A welcome dinner was launched at Casa Vicente, Vigan City, on February 25, wherein city officials, together with the City Cultural Affairs and Tourism Office and cultural performers from the Ilocos Sur National High School, showcased the Ilocano culture through cuisine and performances.
