The City Government of Vigan through the stewardship of Mayor Eva Marie S. Medina recently launched the Regulatory Simplification Project (RS4LG) dubbed as “Effective Service for All (Serbisyo a Napudno Para Kadakayo)” at the Vigan Culture and Trade Center on March 10, 2015 . It was attended by city officials, business groups, DepEd officials, Punong Barangays, media personnel and representatives of civil society organizations (CSOs). Mayor Eva Medina said that this project aimed at making business simple and efficient steps in applying for business permits and licenses. She added that this program is an initiative of the city in ensuring fast and effective service to clients who do business in the city.
OIC – CLGOO Randy de la Cruz provided an overview of the Regulatory Simplification Project and the process that the city went through in coming up with the simplified procedures. A video presentation of the old and new business permit and licensing process were shown. LGOO V Aprille Regina P. Guerrero, who represented OIC Provincial Director Federico Bitonio lauded the implementation of the project that would enhance the business climate of the city.
The Commitment Contract was read by City Licensing Officer Elpidio Palapala and thereafter signed by Mayor Eva Marie S. medina, City Treasurer Milagros Contreras, City Environment and natural resources Officer Teddy Boy Corpuz, City Engineer Ceasar Asperilla, F/Insp. Floro Obrero and P/Supt Jugith del Prado. The other city officials, DILG personnel and the media also signed as witnesses to the contract.
