To mark this year’s Vigan City Legislative Awareness Week Celebration the City Government of Vigan through the 8thCity Council headed by Vice Mayor Randy Singson and the members of the City Council graced the flag raising ceremony of the city employees last September 18, 2023 in front of the Vigan City Hall.
Various activities were steered for the said week-long celebration under the theme: “To advocate pro-active and responsive legislation.” which aims to further empower the Bigueños through legislative awareness.

Vice Mayor Randy Singson together with the 8th City Council Members and the Former City Officials through Former Vice Mayor Lourdes Baquiran, Former SPM Ramil Arce, Former SPM Rey Florentino and Former SPM Boying Apelin graced the said event.
The photo exhibit showcases the Vigan City’s history particularly its journey towards Cityhood and as member of UNESCO.
In connection with the Vigan City’s Legislative Awareness Week Celebration, the 8th City Council led by Vice Mayor Randy Singson held its 61st regular session with Barangay Captain Counterpart on September 8, 2023 at the Vigan Convention Center. Vigan City ABC President Constante Benzon being the counterpart of Vice Mayor Randy Singson presided the said session.
On the other hand, each City Councilor alongside with their Barangay Captain Counterpart actively participated the said event in which two ordinances and three resolutions were discussed and approved.
Former Vice Mayor Lourdes Baquiran, Former SPM Joy Benette Orio, Former SPM Rey Florentino, Former SPM Boying Apelin, Former SPM Ramil Arce, Former SPM Kristen Figuerres and the City’s Barangay Captains served as their special guests.
