DSWD-RFO I awards Vigan City as GAPAS Achiever

In line with the City Government of Vigan’s constant actions towards poverty alleviations, last February 15, 2021 through its Pagsapulan: Raniag Ti Masakbayan Livelihood Assistance, City Mayor Juan Carlo Medina together with the City Social Welfare and Development Officer Ma. Celerina Agcamaran acknowledged the Regional Gawad sa Paglilingkod sa Sambayanan (GAPAS) Award for the its outstanding implementation of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Microenterprise Development Model among other LGUs in the entire region.

“Almost every month the City Social Welfare and Development Office goes out around the City to award different livelihood assistance to the in need Bigueños to ensure that every request were given appropriate actions and response especially those who are seeking livelihood assistance.” Mayor Medina said.

Meanwhile, CSWDO Agcamaran gratified Mayor Medina for his tireless support to the their programs and activities for the benefit of every Bigueño.

She also expressed her appreciation to the DSWD-RFO1 led by its Regional Director Marcelo Nicomedes J. Castillo for its guidance to their office.

Handed the said plaque and cash prize were DSWD-RFO I Social Marketing Officer Janine Joy Altero, Provincial Coordinator Anna Mae Palaroan and Field Development Officer assigned in Vigan Marilou Torres at Vigan City Hall Lobby.
