The City Government of Vigan celebrated “Family Day” last September 28, 2014 at the Vigan Convention Center. Mayor Eva Medina, Vice Mayor Lulu Baquiran and all city councils also joined the fun filled day with their own colored themed group. This has been a yearly activity for the City Government of Vigan where city employees had a time to mingle and get acquainted with other city employees. Mayor Eva said that this is a time for city employees to relax and have fun with the team building games prepared by the City Organization of Vigan Employees (COVE).
Games were played by the different groups. The yellow team emerged as the grand champion and received a cash prize of P14, 000. Other winning teams were orange and violet group. A mass was also officiated by Msgr. Vicente Avila before lunch.
This year’s event carries the theme “Celebrating the Filipino Families: Resilient and Caring” which gives recognition to the Filipino families’ indomitable spirit and compassion, to which the Philippines is globally known for.
