CHO Vies for Nutrition Honor Award

As the City Government of Vigan continuously strives to be in the forefront towards health and nutrition services, the City Heath Office led by CHO II Dr. Loida Ranches took four-day Monitoring and Evaluation of the Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI Pro) conducted by the National Nutrition Evaluation Team (NNET) from June 27 to 30, 2022.

The City Government of Vigan is now vying for the Nutrition Honor Award (NHA) which is the highest national award for nutrition after being hailed as consistent awardee from 2016-2018 in the Regional Level (Green Banner); and became Consistent Regional Outstanding Winner on Nutrition (CROWN) Awardee in same year in 2018 and attained its First and Second Year CROWN maintenance for 2019 and 2021.

“The said evaluation is composed of Validation visits, Document review and Learning discussion with CNC through Ms. Iris Rowena Bernard of PAN/NFP, Verginia Castro from DSWD-PMB and Ms. Raceline Faye Calangi of NNC-Co as their Team Leader,” City Nutrition Officer Jeno Josef Figuracion said.

“We have presented all our accomplishments highlighting the effectivity and participation of the Bigueños in our various activities and programs on health and nutrition and I am grateful to the constant support of the City Government of Vigan led by Mayor Juan Carlo Medina and to City Health Office through CHO II Dr. Loida Ranches,” CNO Figuracion added.
