CHO on the Go

Despite of the Pandemic, the City Health Office in partnership with the Barangay Health Workers and Barangay Nutrition Scholars delivered free immunization services to the Bigueño Children at their doorsteps last March 30-31 along the 39 barangays of the city.

MMR Vaccine for anti-measles, mumps and rubella; Pentavalent Vaccine also known as 5-in-1 vaccine which is a combination vaccine with five individual vaccines conjugated into one, intended to actively protect people from multiple diseases; Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PVC) is a pneumococcal vaccine and a conjugate vaccine used to protect infants, young children, and adults against disease caused by the bacterium Streptococcus pneumoniae; Polio vaccines are vaccines used to prevent poliomyelitis; and DPT is a class of combination vaccines against three infectious diseases in humans: diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus were all given to infant bigueños for free.

Also, maintenance madicines for senior citizens were delivered to lessen the exposure of the people outside their houses.

“Instead of visiting the center this time of ECQ, the City Government through the City Health Office initiated this door to door program of giving the different services of the CHO to the Bigueños for them to be more safe espcially that we’re facing unseen enemy that is very dangerous particularly to our children, pregnant women, senior citzens and immunocompromised persons” City Midwife II Lormie Anyog said.
