CGV Conducts Meeting for the Creation of the Vigan Inspection Teams for Structural Integrity

City Mayor Jose “Bonito” Singson, Jr. and Vice Mayor Randy Singson together with the Sangguniang Panlungsod Members conduct a
meeting with the Vigan Conservation Council, Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers Ilocos Sur Chapter, UNP Engineering Department, United Architects of the Philippines, and other concerned NGOs infront of the Vigan City Hall today, July 28, 2022.

The meeting aims to further ensure the safety of the Bigueños and other stakeholders through tapping the professional engineers and architects of the city to volunteer and formulate inspection teams for faster conduct of assessments and evaluation to the City’s ancestral houses, government facilities and other infrastructure.

Furthermore, Mayor Singson authorized the said inspection teams led by the City Engineering Office to issue certificate or clearance after their thorough on-site assessment and evaluation to private establishments for them to resume their operations.

The office of the City Mayor released the Executive Order No. 07 Series of 2022 entitled as “An Order Enjoining Private Establishments to Ensure the Structural Integrity of their Workplace before they Resume Operation” which mandates each establishment and other infrastructures of the city to undergo inspection and assessment to ensure the safety of every individual and property within the city prior to their resume of operation.
