VIGAN CITY, ILOCOS SUR – the Vigan City newly elected officials took their oath of office last June 18, 2022 at Vigan Convention Center wherein National President of League of Municipalities of the Philippines and incumbent Mayor of Narvacan, Luis “Chavit” Singson administered their oath.
The newly inaugurated officials are Mayor-elect Jose ‘Bonito’ Singson, Jr., Vice Mayor Randy Singson together with the ten (10) Sangguniang Panlungsod members topped by SPM Janina Medina-Fariñas followed by SPM Evaristo ‘Bobit’ Singson III, SPM Larry Raboy, SPM Nestor Pajaro, SPM Glendale Benzon, SPM Ada Joana Fe Artajos, SPM Alistin Arce, SPM Liborio “Libong” Arca, SPM Karen Baquiran and SPM Jay Andia.
Incumbent Vice Governor and Governor-elect Jeremias “Jerry” C. Singson and incoming Ilocos Sur First District Representative Ronald Singson also graced the event where they congratulated and expressed their support to the newly elected officials.
During his inaugural speech, Mayor Singson shared a couple of his plans for the city particularly for tourism where he assured of a wider thrusts towards promotion of Vigan City locally and internationally that will lead to the increase of tourists and visitors.
He also discussed his Legacy Projects where he said that his administration will embark on numerous infrastructure projects and livelihood initiatives such as the tram that will go around the city.
The event were also witnessed by the City Department Heads and Division Chiefs, Barangay Officials, representatives from the different Government Agencies and Non-Government Organization in the city, families, and supporters of the newly-elected officials.
