PICC, Pasay City- LGU Vigan’s Local Treasury Operation II Jennifer N. Ferino recieved her certificate of commendation last December 12 as she ranked 9th in the 2018 Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination conducted last October 14, 2018 at San Fernando, La Union.
BLGF Executive Director Nino Raymond Alvina, Deputy Executive Director III Jose Arnold Tan, Deputy Executive Director III Flosie Fanlo-Tayag and Department of Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez handed the said certificate.
“Im very thankful to the City Government of Vigan especially to the City Treasurer’s Office for supporting me in taking the said examination. I will continue to serve the city government and the people as far as I could.” LTO II Jennifer Ferino said.
The Civil Service Commission (CSE) and Department of Finance-Bureau of Local Government Finance (DOF-BLGF) administered the simultaneous examination last October 2018 for Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE), Intermediate Competency on Local Treasury Examination (ICLTE) and Special Career Service Examination – Pen and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) for the government employees conducted in selected regions nationwide. Region I produced 46 passers in the said examination. This is Pursuant to Department Order No. 053.2016 or known as the SEAL Program, a joint undertaking of the DOF and the BLGF, in cooperation with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to professionalize the local treasury service to improve the fiscal position of local governments, and to institutionalize high standards of qualifications, practice and benchmarks for technical proficiencies and competencies in local treasury operations.
