The dance production “Sayaw,Sabel” facilitated by the Cultural Center of the Philippines ( CCP ) Outreach and Exchange Division and the Carmen D. Locsin Foundation, was successfully staged last October 4 at the Vigan Culture and Trade Center in cooperation with the City Government of Vigan
The production was a collection of dances depicting how the Filipino goes through life. Each artist had a role to play and each showed every Filipino’s trials. It reminded us of our diverse lives, how some managed well and how some did not.
“Sayaw, Sabel’ was choreographed by Agnes Locsin, a former director and chief choreographer of Ballet Philippines. Guest theater artist Maribel Legarda performed the title role. The dance artists featured in the show were Judell Sicam, Anne Divinagracia Santorio, Kristoffer Legarda, Christian Crame, Maria Antonette Cruz Mariano, Justin Monique Uy, Perry Sevidal and Biag Gaongen. / henry anicas
