The Bureau of Fire Protection celebrates fire prevention month on March with the theme: “Sustaining Fire Prevention through Active Community Participation . City Fire Marshal Fire Chief Inspector FLORO L. OBRERO said the celebration is an annual activity of the BFP to observe and advocate fire prevention in the community through the visibility image campaign and to emphasize the importance of fire safety services in the community. “One major activity in this year celebration is the formulation of a plan on Fire Disaster Control and Emergency Evacuation that is needed in the event of fire situations participated by volunteer fire brigade. Fire Safety Inspector would also conduct fire drills most especially in schools, volunteer fire brigade, business establishments, boarding houses and residential houses. These offices are required to display available firefighting facilities, equipment, tools to the community. As a culminating activity of the fire prevention month firefighters with some volunteer fire brigades will conduct fire Olympics.
